Maple Moon Sugarbush & Winery is the result of “God orchestrating many miracles,” according to founders Todd and Christi Petersen, who weren’t even wine drinkers when they began producing Michigan maple syrup in 2011. Tapping into a new business opportunity (pun intended), Maple Moon released five wines in 2015 that were fermented from the natural sugars in maple syrup, without any grapes.
